Six page-number formats, and how they combine
Each page number format works with any supported page size and can be aligned independently from the filename footer.
Body text is laid out first, across as many pages as it needs
The full page count is calculated once all content has been wrapped and paginated, ensuring multi-page totals like "Page 1 of 3" reflect the exact page count.
A second pass adds the heading and footer to every page
With the final page count established, each page receives the header at the top and the footer at the bottom in your selected positions without overlapping body text.
Shared positions are merged automatically
If the footer filename and page number share the same alignment (such as Left or Center), they are joined into a single clean line instead of overlapping.
When something doesn't work as expected

The footer looks crowded on one side
The filename and page number are both set to the same position, so they've been combined on one line.
Set them to different positions (e.g. filename left, page number right) to spread them out.
"Page 1 of 3" shows the wrong total
The page count is determined dynamically after pagination. If content is added after generating, the previous count may display.
Click "Convert to PDF" again to recalculate the page total with the updated content.
"Please select a valid text file"
The file's reported MIME type wasn't recognized as plain text by the browser.
Confirm the file has a standard .txt extension or paste the text directly into the text box.
The heading isn't showing up
The "Add a heading to every page" checkbox is off, or the heading text field is empty.
Turn the checkbox on and make sure you have typed text into the heading field.
Footer looks crowded
Why: Filename and page number share a position.
Fix: Use different positions for each.
Wrong page total
Why: Text changed without re-converting.
Fix: Click "Convert to PDF" again.

Why: File type wasn't recognized.
