The Domain's Registration Record

Every domain name has an official registration record stored in the global domain registry system. This record contains the domain registration date reported by the registry, when its current registration period ends, when the record was updated, and which registrar manages it. Our tool queries this data using the modern RDAP (Registration Data Access Protocol) — the official standardized successor to the legacy WHOIS system.

Age as a Longevity Signal

A domain's age tells you how long its current registration record has existed. It can provide useful context, but it does not prove that a website is trustworthy, legitimate, or valuable. Evaluating a site should always involve analyzing its actual content, security measures, and ongoing track record.
