The effect order
A fixed sequence. Every time.
Brightness → Contrast → Saturation → Opacity → Hue → Blur → Grayscale → Sepia → Invert → Sharpen → Edge detection → Emboss → Solarize → Posterize → Noise → Threshold → Duotone → Pixel blocks → Vignette → Glow → Flips → Border → JPG white fill
The order does not change when you move controls in a different order. For example, threshold followed by duotone turns black and white into your two duotone colours.
Effects stack up
Enabled effects are combined, not swapped. Posterize followed by noise can give more colours than the level setting suggests, because noise runs after posterize.
Clean edges when blurring
Before the colour and blur step, the outermost pixels are extended into a hidden margin, so a blurred photo does not fade into a pale band at its borders.
Repeatable noise
Noise is calculated from pixel positions rather than random numbers, so the same settings give the same grain each time you redraw.
A quick browser check
When the page opens, a tiny test image is blurred. If the browser fails, colour, blur and glow effects are blocked instead of saving an unchanged picture.

Border geometry
Placement decides the final size.

Space is added on all four sides even if you switch some sides off. The corner radius rounds only the border line; the photo itself keeps square corners.

An error says filters are blocked
This browser failed the start-up filter test.
- Update the browser, or try Chrome, Edge or Firefox.
- Texture effects and borders still work.
- Reset filters to clear colour and blur.
The picture turned black and white
Threshold below 255 or edge detection is on.
- Set threshold back to 255 (Off).
- Untick Edge detection and Emboss.
- Check Grayscale in the first group.
The saved image is larger than expected
An Outside or Center border adds pixels.
- Choose Inside to keep the original size.
- Or set border width to 0.
- Check the size shown under the preview.
A file vanished from the ZIP
Any filter, format or quality change clears that image's file.
- Press Apply filters again.
- Or press Filter all.
- The ZIP button counts the finished files.

Before you save the final look
How do I add filters to a photo online?
Add an image, open a control group and move the sliders or tick the effects you want; the preview updates as you go. Pick JPG, PNG or WebP, press Apply filters, check the result and download it. Settings stay separate for each image.
Which filters and effects are included?
Brightness, contrast, saturation, opacity, hue shift, blur, grayscale, sepia and invert; sharpen, edge detection, emboss, solarize, posterize, noise, a black and white threshold, pixel blocks, vignette, glow and duotone; plus horizontal and vertical flips and a border.
In what order are the effects applied?
Colour and light come first, then blur, grayscale, sepia and invert, then sharpen, edges and emboss, then the tone effects, pixel blocks, vignette and glow, and finally flips, the border and JPG white fill. The order is fixed, whatever order you change the controls in.
How is brightness here different from the Brightness Adjuster?
Here brightness and contrast are percentage multipliers, where 100% means no change, as in CSS filters. The separate Brightness Adjuster adds a fixed amount to every colour value, and the Contrast Adjuster uses a −100 to +100 formula around mid-gray. Use those for one precise adjustment.
Can I apply the same filter to several photos?
Yes. Set up one image, select it and press Copy to all. Every image gets the same filters, flips and border, while names, formats and quality stay as they were. Then press Filter all and download the ZIP.
How do threshold, posterize and duotone work?
Threshold turns each pixel black or white depending on whether its weighted gray value is below the cutoff. Posterize limits each colour channel to the chosen number of levels. Duotone maps dark-to-light tones between your two colours, and with threshold on it maps black and white to them.
Does sharpening add real detail?
No. Sharpen, edge detection and emboss use small 3 × 3 patterns that increase differences between neighbouring pixels. They can make edges look crisper but also exaggerate noise and compression blocks. They cannot recover detail that the photo never captured.
How do border width, radius and placement work?
Width sets the border thickness in original-image pixels. Outside adds twice the width to each dimension, Center adds the width once, and Inside keeps the size. The radius rounds only the border line, and the four side checkboxes switch individual sides on or off.
What happens to transparent areas?
Opacity, blur on transparent edges, pixel blocks, glow and the border can change transparency, while colour effects keep it. PNG and WebP save the transparency as rendered. JPG has none, so it fills transparent parts with white after every effect and the border.
What image files and sizes does the filter tool accept?
Up to five JPG/JPEG, PNG, WebP, BMP, GIF, HEIC/HEIF or self-contained SVG images of 10 MB each. Each result, including any added border, can be up to 20 MP and 16,384 px a side; the batch up to 40 MP; each saved file up to 96 MB.
Why can the downloaded file look a little different from the preview?
The preview is drawn at up to 900 px, so blur, noise and pixel blocks are scaled to fit and can look slightly different at full size. JPG and WebP compression adds its own small changes. Open the downloaded file to judge fine texture.
Can I reset or stop while filtering?
Reset filters returns the selected image to no effects, no flip and no border, keeping its format, quality and name. Stop cancels the image being processed and skips the rest; files that were already finished stay ready for download.
Do my photos leave this device?
No. Filters and ZIP files are made in your browser, and images are not sent to our server. Only a HEIC photo this browser cannot open downloads a decoder from jsDelivr, without your image. Nothing is kept after a refresh, so download your files first.
