Choosing an export format
Rotating an image at an angle that isn't a multiple of 90° exposes empty corners on the canvas — how those corners look depends entirely on the format below.

Troubleshooting
Common issues & quick fixes
Rotated JPEG or BMP has black corners
With Background left on Transparent, exporting to a format with no alpha channel (JPEG or BMP) typically fills those areas with black rather than white.
- Switch Background to Solid and pick a color before rotating
- Or export as PNG or WEBP if transparency needs to be kept
"Rotate Now" keeps rotating further
Custom Angle adds to the image's current rotation each time you press Rotate Now — it doesn't reset to the typed value.
- Press Reset first if you want to start from 0° again
- Track the cumulative angle rather than re-entering the same number
"Enlarge Canvas" seems to do nothing
For any angle that isn't an exact multiple of 90°, the canvas enlarges automatically regardless of this checkbox, since clipping would otherwise be unavoidable.
- The checkbox only changes behavior for exact 90°/180°/270° turns
- This is expected, not a bug
PDF, HEIC, or TIFF upload but the preview is blank
These file types pass the initial upload check, but this tool has no decoder for them — a browser's built-in image preview can't render PDF, HEIC, or TIFF data directly.
- Convert to JPG or PNG first, then upload here
- Stick to JPG, PNG, WEBP, BMP, GIF, or SVG for reliable results
Batch Operations panel isn't showing
It only appears once 2 or more images are uploaded in the same session.
- Add a second image to reveal batch controls
- With a single image, use that card's own rotation controls
Only one file downloads from Download All
Triggering several downloads back-to-back can hit your browser's own multiple-download permission prompt.
- Check for a blocked-download or permission notice near the address bar
- Allow multiple downloads for this site, then try again

Is my data safe when using this tool?
Yes. All image processing happens entirely in your browser — no files are uploaded to any server, and your images never leave your device.
What image formats are supported?
You can upload JPG, JPEG, PNG, WEBP, BMP, GIF (non-animated), and SVG. You can export the rotated image as JPEG, PNG, WEBP, or BMP.
Is there a file size limit?
Yes, the maximum file size is 10 MB per image, and you can upload up to 5 images at once.
Does rotation affect image quality?
90° and 180° rotations don't lose quality. Custom angle rotations may soften detail slightly due to interpolation, and the Quality slider affects JPEG and WEBP output specifically.
Can I rotate multiple images with the same action?
Yes. Once you've uploaded 2 or more images, Batch Operations lets you rotate every image by 90° or 180° in one click, using each image's own background, margin, and format settings.
What does "Enlarge Canvas" do?
It expands the canvas so a rotated image isn't clipped at the corners. For any angle that isn't a multiple of 90°, the canvas enlarges automatically regardless of this setting.
Does this work on mobile devices?
Yes, the layout is responsive and works on desktop, tablet, and mobile browsers.
Can I undo changes after rotation?
Yes, each image has a Reset button that reloads it fresh from the original file. Once you've downloaded a rotated file, though, that specific downloaded copy can't be undone.
