Top caption: the set-up
“WHEN THE TASK LOOKS SMALL” tells the reader what situation they are looking at. Keep it short enough to read at chat size.
Bottom caption: the turn

Wording you changed after adding it is not rewrapped.

The letters look thin or plain
This phone or computer has no Impact font installed.
- A bold sans font stands in for it.
- Tick Bold for heavier letters.
- A Windows PC or Mac usually has Impact.
I can't move a caption
It is locked, or another layer is selected.
- Look for Locked in the layer list.
- Select it and press Unlock layer.
- Or type Center X and Y instead.
My overlay picture won't add
It is too large, or overlays have used their shared space.
- Use one under 4 MP and 10 MB.
- Delete overlays you no longer need.
- Press Clear history to free space.

Before you send the punchline
How do I make a meme with my own photo?
Add a photo, type the top and bottom captions and press Add top & bottom captions. Each caption becomes a layer you can drag, resize and restyle. Press Make meme, look at the result and download it as JPG, PNG or WebP.
How do I get the classic white meme text with a black outline?
That is what Add top & bottom captions gives you: Impact, white letters, a black outline about a tenth of the text size, centred. For one extra caption, press Add caption and set the font, colours and outline width yourself.
Can I write captions in Hindi, Gujarati or with emoji?
Yes, type any text your browser can show. Impact has no Hindi or Gujarati letters, so your device draws them in a font that has them, which looks different. Emoji appear in your device's own style. Check the preview before sharing.
How long can a caption be?
Up to 1,000 characters, though short memes land better. Add top & bottom captions wraps each one into at most three lines and shrinks it to fit. After that, press Enter for a new line or lower the text size; editing does not rewrap the text.
What are the six meme layouts?
Two choices, Three options, Three stages, Expectation / reality, Two buttons and Statement card. Each one starts a new 1200 × 900 px meme of coloured panels with sample captions to replace. They contain no photos; add yours as image overlays.
Can I add a second picture, like a reaction face?
Yes. Press Add image overlay and pick a PNG, JPG, WebP or self-contained SVG up to 4 MP. A PNG with a transparent background looks the most natural. Overlays can be resized, rotated, flipped, filtered, duplicated and locked.
Can I undo a mistake in my meme?
Undo and Redo keep the last 10 changes for each meme, including deleted layers. Clear history frees that memory without changing the meme. Reset this meme removes all layers, and Undo can still bring them back. Nothing is kept once you close the page.
What size will the downloaded meme be?
The same width and height as your photo, or 1200 × 900 px for a layout. Each photo can be up to 10 MB, 20 MP and 16,384 px a side, five at a time. If a site needs an exact size, run the download through the Image Resizer.
Can I make several memes at once?
Yes, up to five. Each keeps its own captions, layers and format. Make all saves them one by one, Stop skips the ones not started yet, and Download ZIP collects the finished memes with names ending in -meme.
Is my photo sent anywhere, and is a watermark added?
No to both. Your images and captions stay in this browser, and no site watermark is put on the meme. Only a HEIC photo the browser cannot open loads a decoder from jsDelivr, without your image. Share only photos and words you have the right to use.
