Choosing an export format
This tool has no separate "background color" setting — the only transparency at risk is whatever your original photo or logo already has.

Troubleshooting
Common issues & quick fixes
Transparent areas turn black in the JPEG export
If your source photo or a logo watermark has transparent areas, exporting to JPEG usually fills them with black rather than white, since JPEG has no alpha channel.
- Export as PNG or WEBP if transparency needs to be kept
- Flatten the logo onto a solid background before uploading it as a watermark
An uploaded file has no preview
Upload only checks that the file's type starts with "image/" — a HEIC or TIFF file can pass that check but still fail to render, since this tool has no decoder for those formats.
- Convert to JPG or PNG first, then upload here
- Stick to JPG, PNG, WEBP, BMP, GIF, or SVG for reliable results
Text Background won't go back to "none"
Once a background color is picked for a text layer, the color picker has no built-in way to return it to no background.
- Delete the layer and add the text watermark again
- Decide on a background color before fine-tuning everything else
Dragging a text watermark's side handle doesn't stretch it
A text layer's width is always derived from its font size, so resizing a corner handle changes overall size rather than stretching the text independently wider or narrower.
- Use the font-size field for precise sizing
- Drag a corner to scale the whole watermark up or down together
Can't drag or resize a watermark on a phone or tablet
Direct canvas dragging is wired for a mouse; it isn't set up for touch gestures yet.
- Use the Opacity, Rotation, and text fields for adjustments on a touch device
- Switch to a desktop browser for precise drag placement
A brand-new text layer's selection box looks mismatched
The very first render of a new text watermark can measure slightly off until you edit any of its text properties, which recalculates its box correctly.

- This only affects the selection outline, not the exported result

Is my data secure when using this tool?
Yes. All image processing happens entirely in your browser — no files are uploaded to any server.
What image formats are supported?
You can upload JPG, JPEG, PNG, WEBP, BMP, GIF (non-animated), and SVG. For a logo watermark, PNG with a transparent background works best. You can export the result as JPEG, PNG, or WEBP.
Can I add more than one watermark to an image?
Yes. Each image supports multiple watermark layers — add several text watermarks, several logos, or combine both, and manage them from the layers list.
Does adding a watermark affect image quality?
The watermark itself doesn't degrade the image. Overall output quality then depends on your chosen export format and quality setting — JPEG and WEBP are adjustable, while PNG is lossless.
Can I watermark multiple images at once?
You can upload up to 5 images and configure each one's watermarks individually, then use Download All to download every configured image in sequence.
Is there a file size limit?
Yes, the maximum file size is 10 MB per image, and you can upload up to 5 images at once.
Can I use my own logo as a watermark?
