Image Carousel Maker

It exports an image carousel with scoped CSS and vanilla JavaScript, as an HTML/CSS/JS fragment or a standalone HTML document. The original raster image bytes are embedded as Base64 data URLs. It does not create a video, a social-media carousel post or an editable slide presentation.

Add up to 20 PNG, JPG, WebP or GIF raster files that this browser can decode. Each file is limited to 5 MiB, 20 million pixels and 16,384 pixels per side. The selection is capped at 25 MiB of source bytes and 40 million combined source pixels. Generated HTML is capped at 40 MiB. SVG, HEIC and AVIF are excluded. Signature checks still require successful browser decoding.

This carousel-building workflow reads selected images in your browser and embeds their bytes into generated code; it does not upload them to an image-processing server. No project history or image data is saved automatically. Only the appearance preference is stored. Normal website scripts are outside this processing claim. Download before refreshing or leaving.

Use Move up or Move down on each image card; these controls work with keyboard and touch. Desktop drag and drop is also supported. Add a visible caption and separate alternative text for each image. Captions appear only when Show image captions is enabled. Review filename-based default alternative text before publishing.

Yes. Place arrows on the image edges or below it. Dots, the optional counter and Play/Pause can be placed below the image or in on-image top/bottom slots. Choose styles, labels, padding, gap, inset and hide/show options. Overlay controls can cover image content; below-image controls and captions keep that area separate. Keyboard and horizontal swipe navigation remain available even when arrows or dots are hidden. Loop-off navigation clamps at the first and last slides.

Autoplay is off by default. When enabled, a visible Play/Pause control is required and reduced-motion users start paused. Mouse hover pauses scheduling; keyboard focus stops rotation until Play is explicitly chosen. Hidden tabs pause scheduling. With Loop off, rotation stops at the last slide; Play there restarts at the first. Explicit Play may enable rotation with reduced motion, while fade animation still follows that preference. Turn autoplay off before hiding Play/Pause.

No. All embedded Base64 bytes are already part of the exported HTML. When deferral is enabled, only the first image has an active source initially; later sources are assigned when those slides are first shown, with a lazy-loading hint. This can postpone decoding but does not remove image bytes or reduce the HTML transfer size.

Yes. Original raster bytes are embedded unchanged, so supported GIF animation and metadata such as EXIF/GPS can remain in the exported file. The builder is not a metadata remover or image compressor. Its small list thumbnails are static previews. Play/Pause controls slide rotation, not animation inside a GIF.

Contain shows the whole image inside the frame; Cover fills the frame and intentionally crops visible edges. A fixed aspect ratio reserves frame space. Auto proportions follow the active source dimensions and can shift surrounding content. Image padding adds display space without editing the original bytes. Optional captions can appear below the image or as a bottom overlay. Below-image captions keep image content separate from text.

Yes. Each Generate action creates a distinct carousel ID, and its styles and runtime target that instance. Generate separate snippets for separate instances. Pasting the identical snippet twice repeats the same ID; generate a fresh snippet instead. Destination styles or script policies can still affect integration.

Files are checked sequentially. Stop takes effect after the current read/decode settles, and images already accepted remain available. Invalid files are reported by name and skipped. A batch that would exceed the 20-file count is rejected before reading. Same name, size and modified time are treated as a duplicate identity; this is not a content-hash comparison.

Yes. They use exactly the generated code currently displayed. Clipboard failure selects the full code for manual copying. A standalone document adds a doctype, language, character encoding, viewport and title. Editing slides or settings clears the previous code, so Generate must be used again before copying or downloading.

Use an authorized Custom HTML/code insertion route that permits scripts, inline styles and data URLs. WordPress roles, editors, security plugins or CSP may strip or block them, so test the published page. This tool does not bypass those policies or promise universal compatibility. The exported script includes a nowprocket marker for applicable WP Rocket exclusions; other optimization plugins may need their own settings.
