How this Twitter bio generator works
Written by AI from your details
Google Gemini writes six bios from what you tell it, with OpenRouter as backup. It's told to use only your facts, so it won't invent follower counts, employers or awards.
Plain text that everyone can read
No "fancy" bold or italic Unicode letters, which screen readers struggle with and X search can't match. Any that slip in are turned back into normal letters.
Counted to 160, previewed on a profile
Each bio shows its length, counting emojis as 2 to be safe, and turns red if it's too long. Pick one to see it under your name and @username.
Check it yourself. Open your browser's developer tools (F12) and choose the Network tab. With the shared AI you'll see one request to our site; with your own key, requests go only to Google or OpenRouter.
Common X bio problems
Find yours. Each button sets up the fix.
| Problem | Fix | Action |
|---|---|---|
| X says my bio is too long | Paste it into the edit box. The counter shows how much to cut and the preview updates as you edit. | |
| My bio uses fancy bold letters | Paste it into the edit box. The checks flag fancy letters, and Fix letters turns them into plain text. | |
| People don't know what I post about | Say your topic in the first few words, like "Tips on…" or "Building…". | |
| "The shared AI is busy" | Add your own free Gemini or OpenRouter key and keep generating from your browser. | |
| I need posts to match my bio | Write X posts that are counted the way X counts them. | Post generator |
What makes a good X bio
People decide whether to follow in a second or two. A good bio says who you are, what you post about and why it's worth following, in plain words they might search for. The AI is asked for exactly that, within 150 characters so there's room to tweak.
The counter treats every emoji as 2 characters, as X does for posts, so it errs on the safe side. Fancy Unicode letters are flagged because each one is a separate symbol that assistive technology and search handle poorly.
X profile limits
| Field | Limit | Tip |
|---|---|---|
| Name | 50 characters | Add a keyword, like "Priya | UX Designer", to be found in search. |
| Username | 4 to 15 characters | Letters, numbers and underscores only. |
| Bio | 160 characters | Line breaks and emojis count too. |
| Location | 30 characters | A city helps local followers find you. |
| Website | 100 characters | Kept separate, so it doesn't use bio characters. |

Frequently asked questions
Short answers about limits, fancy fonts, languages and your API key.
How long can an X (Twitter) bio be?
160 characters. Your display name can be up to 50 characters, your @username 4 to 15, location 30 and website 100. The counter here counts each emoji as 2 to be safe, so a bio that fits here fits on X.
Is the Twitter bio generator free?
Yes. The shared AI gives every visitor 15 free sets of bios an hour. If it's busy or you need more, add your own Gemini or OpenRouter key and generate within that key's quota.
Should I use bold or italic Unicode fonts in my bio?
It's better not to. Those "fancy" letters are separate symbols, so screen readers read them out letter by letter or skip them, and X search may not find the words. This tool writes plain text and turns any fancy letters back into normal ones.
Can I add line breaks to my X bio?
Yes. Choose Short lines before generating, then paste the bio into Edit profile; the line breaks are kept.
What happens if the shared AI doesn't work?
The tool tries Google Gemini first and OpenRouter second. If both fail, or the hourly limit is reached, it explains why and opens the key panel so you can continue with your own free key.
Is my own API key safe?
Your key is kept in this browser session only and is sent directly from your browser to Google or OpenRouter, never to our server. Press Remove my keys when you're done, and avoid entering keys on shared devices.
Can it write bios in Hindi or Gujarati?
Yes. Choose from 18 languages, including Hindi, Hinglish, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil and Bengali, before generating.
Is what I type saved?
With the shared AI, your description goes to our server and then to Google Gemini or OpenRouter, and identical requests are reused for 1 hour. Your last 15 sets of bios are saved only in this browser, and Clear all removes them.
